MyBrushes, an excellent paint program for Mac OS X, is a good alternative to Microsoft Paint and Apple Mac Paint. It's based on a former drawing software named Paintbrush for Mac. Paintbrush for Mac hasn't been updated for 6 years and was not compartable with most of Mac system already. I've used Paint on Windows for a long time and was wondering if OS X has an equivalent app. Grab seems to be the only thing that I've found, in the Applications folder.

TextEdit is plenty for you, you most likely won't need anything else. If you do, DO NOT download NeoOffice. It is complete garbage. Use it for a few days and you'll know what I mean. Having said that, Paintbrush is a basic illustration tool, and as long as that's the way you want to use it, it's great at that task.
