Version 16.18 was released on October 16, 2018. Since you mentioned, you still don’t see this version after two weeks of waiting, I believe you must have Office 2016 for mac (one-time purchase) license.

Okay, new friends, this has been both helpful and confusing; I am not very fluent in computer lingo. However, somewhere in this long thread, a couple of folks mentioned this happening when text is in italics.
